Conker Picking

So for the past couple of weeks I've really been struggling with blog posts. It's not because I 'can't be bothered' because it really isn't, I absolutley love blogging but I can just never find the time because of school and my social life. Because I'm in year 11 at school I feel like teachers are putting so much pressure on us to apply for colleges, practise and revise for exams, so when I get home from school all I want to do is read some blog posts, watch some YouTube videos and spend time with my friends not spend a couple of hours writing blogposts. I've decided that whilst I'm at school I'm going to try and just upload once a week, weather that's Wednesday or Sunday I don't know. Friday was an inset day for my school so I though I'd try my best sit down and write a blog post. So here goes...

When I was a child one of my favourite things to do in autumn was to go Conker picking however, over the past couple of years I haven't bothered, so last week me and some of my friends though it was about time we went and collected some conkers. Honestly, I forgot how exciting it felt to successfully hit a spikey green sphere containing conkers and watching it fall to the ground; I felt 5 again and like always I found the biggest Conker.

Normally when it gets to autumn I just wear the lipsticks and nail varnishes I would in summer but this year I'm loving the different shades of dark reds. Another thing I love about autumn is that I know winter is just around the corner as it's my all time favourite season, it also means christmas and my birthday is slowly approaching so you can't go wrong really.

Here's a couple of photos I took whilst I was Conker picking.

What's your favourtie thing about Autumn, why not let me know below? Also if you have any blog posts you'd like to see me do, please let me know.

Iggy Azalea

Another one of my favourite celebrities at the minute is Iggy Azalea as I just love her songs and style. I love learning new songs and raps and at me and my friends always find ourselves learning new raps  so we can sing them together and at the minute Iggy's songs are just perfect to do just that. For anyone who doesn't know who Iggy is, she's a singer from New South Wales (Australia)

Iggy hasn't been around for long but her name is definitely one to remember, all of her songs so far have been massive hits consisting of Work, Fancy ft. Charli XCX, Problem ft. Ariana Grande and more recently Black Widow ft. Rita Ora. What I love about Iggy is the content of her music as she writes from personal experiences and her upbringing furthermore, I absolutely love her album 'The New Classic' and I'm hoping that she will come on to the UK to tour as I would love to go and watch her live.

When performing live, just like Ariana Grande she likes to keep her outfits the same but change the colour style and pattern.

Performing with Charli XCX on Good Morning America
Performing with Ariana Grande at Wango Tango

Performing at MTV Woodie Awards

Performing at some of her gigs

Ariana Grande

At the minute one of my favourite celebrities is Ariana Grande. For anyone who doesn't who she is then basically you should! Ariana is an amazing singer with an incredible range, I've never heard a voice like hers ever, she can definitely hit those high notes. Recently she collaborated with Jessie J & Nicki Minaj to release the hit single 'Bang Bang' and I can honestly say its ones of my favourite song that's being released so far this year. She also just released a new single 'Break Free' from her brand new album 'My Everything'

Recently, Ariana changed the whole of her wardrobe to a more sexy, sophisticated look by adding knee high heeled boots, heels, bodysuits, making skirts and crop tops & dresses. She's kept this look constant over the last 4-5 months but mixed it up by changing the design, colour and pattern whilst performing live or attending an event. I love her style a lot, so I thought she deserved a blog post. I'd also just like to add that one of my proudest moments was when she followed me on twitter as I absolutely love her!

Top 10 Nail Varnishes From Nails Inc

I know I haven't been blogging for that long but to date my most viewed blog post is my Barry M Gelly Swatches and actually, it was one of my favourite blog post to write as I love nail varnish and you will never see me without it on. Because I enjoyed it that much, it I though I'd stick to the theme of nail varnishes and share with you my top 10 by Nails Inc. I've been building up my nail varnish collection for about a year and a half now and it's mostly made up of Nails Inc so it was actually really hard to pick 10 but I did my best and managed to actually agree on my top 10.

With Nails Inc there not as cheap as Barry M but they're still affordable, the quality of them are absolutely amazing and like I said before I'm one of those people who doesn't do an undercoat two layers and a top coat, I literally put one coat and that's it and with Nails Inc I can achieve just that! I'm not going to say it doesn't chip easily because it does, but I think that's down to me not using a top coat. However, you can definitely make it last!

Monthly Favourites (Part 2)

If you didn't read my blog post on Wednesday then you won't know why this is 'Monthly Favourites Part 2' but basically I got carried away and wrote far too much so I included 5 monthly favourites on Wednesday and the other 5 on this blog post. So here's some other things I've been loving.

When It comes to eye shadow I'm a girl who likes to keep it quite natural and tends to stick to warm tones, so I though I'd buy the Sleek Pallet in Au Naturel and for the past 2 months I've been absolutely loving it.
About a month ago now I won a competition which meant I won loads of The Vintage Cosmetic Company brushes, and they're honestly the some of the best brushes I've ever used. They look so cute on my dressing table and they are amazing quality, I just love the way my makeup looks when I've used them brushes!

I think everyone has that 1 foundation they'll always go back to and for me its the L'Oréal true match foundation. Over the past couple of years I've tried loads and loads of different foundations but I've never found one that gives me the same finish, coverage or look as this foundation.

Another thing that I always go back to is the Barry M Gelly - Sugar Apple I've got over 100 nail varnishes but what ever colour I paint my nails, I'll just immediately want sugar apple back on my nails as I just love the colour sooo much!

The bourjois bronzing powder is probably one of the best things I've ever bought in my life and for £9.99 you honestly can't go wrong. Also, recently I've been loving using it as an eye shadow in the crease of my eye and it's gives it a lot of definition but also a soft subtle look, I know it sounds crazy using a Bronzer as eye shadow but don't knock it until you've tried it.

So there you go, the rest of my monthly favourites. What have you been loving this month, why not leave a comment below telling me?

Enjoy your day,

Monthly Favourites (Part 1)

I know its not the end or the beginning of a month but I thought I'd do my monthly favourites anyway. Some of the things I mention are products that I've not only been loving this month, but are still one of my favourite products after quite a while.

When I finished writing this blog post I realised how much I'd written with 10 things so I'm going to do a part 1 and part 2 monthly favourites with 5 on each (Part 2 will be up on Sunday!)

Firstly, is the Carmex Moisturising Lip Balm in cherry. Honestly, this has been an absolute life saver over the past couple of weeks because I constantly have dry, chapped lips and no matter what I use on them it's just never worked. So when I tried this I was just amazed and I really can't praise this product enough, you just have to try it!
Before I purchased the L'Oréal Micellar water I just used normal makeup wipes but for the past 2 weeks I've been absolutely loving using it! I honestly don't think I'll even go back to using makeup wipes ever again! Yes makeup wipes are the easy option but I've also seen an improvement in my skin, so personally I'd rather spend 10 minutes taking my makeup off if it's going to improve the look of my skin.

When I'm at school I only really wear baby lips or a nice pink lipstick as I think for me, a bright red lip is a bit ott for school, however, over the past six weeks I've pretty much wore Rimmel Kate moss 110 every single day and I just absolutely love how my lips look with it on.

Again, when I at school, I always wash my hair the night before and let It dry naturally but in these holidays I've been washing it in the morning, spraying a bit of Vo5 Plump it up volumizing spritz in my hair and blow drying it, because my hairs so long it's always flat to my head, so I've been loving the full, volumised look my hair has when I wear it down or even in a pony tail.

The only game I have on my phone is the Kim Kardashian game and that's simply because I download a game, play on it for few hours and just delete it as I find it boring. However. in these school holidays it's honestly been the cure to my boredom.

So there you go, my some of my monthly favourites. What have you been loving this month, why not leave a comment below telling me?

Enjoy your day,
Eleanor! X
